Bongo Fury

Haydn's alarm arrived Saturday (very quickly as promised) and successfully fitted today - easy with the clear instructions and faith in gravity and surface tension as I drilled into the header tank.

Great service and nice to have the increased assurance provided .

I found the same... Ive got two Dumb questions with it though,
1.how come all the water doesnt leak out when you drill the holes ?
2, How come water doesnt leak arond the screws when they are in the tank ?

Its a spell that Haydn casts over the screws and the drill. (That's why he supplies the drill)

1. It would leak out if you took the header tank cap off, but doesnt (well, might dribble if left) due to airtightness (negative pressure even?) of the ttank

2) The hole drilled is 'under-size' (sort of). THe screws are self tappers that cut themselves into the polypropylene (or whatever it is) plastic material of the header tank.

Yes please Haydn. I would like one - whichever you decide I can fit the most easily knowing nothing about what goes on under the bonnet or behind the dashboard. I will leave it in your capable hands.

Glad I've got mine fitted now after my close call with coolant leak...peace of mind.

I haven't long fitted mine and it was easy, I did post it on here with a couple of piccies too, I bought the cig socket type which suited me best, dead easy.

Yes, It's a nice bit of kit, gives a bit more confidence when out.
