Hi,
I finaly get some time out to do my window closing module fer me central locking alarm.
Its vertualy all wired up & ready to go, but for the life of me can't get it to work. #-o
The alarm & centeral lockings been instaled for months & works great, i just need to tie this in.
the funny thing is when i mess with the four spare wires (see diagram the central locking wigs out..
Are the windows positive at rest lifting window?
If don't need the spare wires what do i do with them?
Have i conected up wrong somewhere?
Image
Any help would be fantastic!

Now this is the odd thing; the unit should go live when the alarm locks with the C/L so it moves the windows if open.
I have run the box from a constant live source, it should kick in with the ignition off.
I have missed something..
I have a 50/50 chance of getting it wrong if so the windows should go down.. i don't even get that!!

The colours should be orange & blue.

But you have given me food for thought, thanks. :D
I will let you know how i get on..

In principle the unit is nothing more than a glorified relay!

They should tap into the green & orange wire?
I've just worked out why the unit don't work at all up or down..
The PCB's fried.. :(
Red connect to A has bullet connectors with a clear plastic sheath on it (which i hadn't refitted to cover the connection) while i was putting the unit behind the foot well the wire shorted to the accelerator pedal & i blew the fuse..
... i thought that was the only damage. :?
I unscrewed the unit &... well i ive just ordered another unit.

Cheap enough.

I still cant work out what the trigger/override wires are meant to do...

The white/black, white/green appeared to be constantly live, except when the ignition was on. :-k

Anything like that i tend to mount under the dash there's plenty of room with the Bongo.
I found a space next to the beeping stuff in the drivers foot well.
I'm using shielded connectors regarding the patching in.. any probs i can easily reconnect the original setup & though i have seen no evidence of water ingress in the door cavity i will be securing with shrink wrap.
To be honest i just want them to close, the amount of times i have to get back in & switch the ignition on because the passenger windows still open.

looks like the one i had in my old bongo, it will only shut the windows when the alarm is turned on, on mine it would shut the drivers window first then it would shut the passenger window.
cant remember if the passenger window had to be turned on at all times thoe (the button at the bottom of the switch on the drivers side)
I think it did.

no you just cut into the wires on the drivers electric thingy, i got a feed from inside the door and used the trigger from the remote central locking. units inside the door on mine, so far still dry and working, does passenger window first then the drivers.
have a problem when camping with it which is strange. after two days without moving the van, without the alarm setting the window closer module will activate itself and wake us up. not constant and no apparent reason for it, as yet i havnt investigated deeper.

I know my closure unit is constantly live, the winder motor shuts off when it hits the top. (or bottom).
I wonder if the closure unit discharges after a while?
It's tapped into the ignition to stop it closing when it's on & allow normal window operation, a bit like on an immobiliser.. :-k
