Bongo Fury

Help! Next to the Rear Fan switch (to the right and below the steering wheel) there is a switch with the symbol of a car and with a symbol that looks something is being emitted from car - this looks likes a bracket ( that increases in size. The switch is in the place of the engine warming button. I thought is it was a parking sensor but this does not appear to activate on anything close to the front or rear of the vehicle. Has anyone got any ideas what this could be.

On the fascia under the steering wheel there is a small round black switch - we do not know what that does either. There are blue wires coming out of the back which have been joined into existing blue wires in the vehicle wiring looms. Any ideas?

We have only had the Bongo for a few days and so we are still getting used to this great fun machine.

The round one could be the rear fog light it should
have a light in it and only work when the lights are on.

Does anything happen when you switch them on? The one with the lines emiting from the car could be a reversing sensor - have you got any of those round ultrasonic things fitted to the rear bumper?

thanks for the replies. The round switch is definitely not the rear fog as we have managed to find that one elsewhere. As for the emitting style button. Have tried switching it on and off several times whilst looking round the vehicle and reversing close to things but nothing seems to happen. I can't see anything fitted in the rear bumper at all. Before we collected the Bongo it did have some remoulding work done to the front bumper. A thought could be was there something there before this? Will have to have a closer look in that area.

I too have a switch below and to the right of the steering wheel. This switch de-activates the headlights on my vehicle, try that.

i too have the battery saving thingy, when you turn on the lights flick the switch and it will keeps the lights dim then when you set off the lights will come back on to full beam,then when you stop and the bongos idling it will cut power to the lights again untill you set off.

if it isnt this then just follow the wires from the switch to see wher it leads to

D'oh! My wife pulled out the switch by the rear fan switch and nothing is connected so I think that it was a parking sensor sytem that has been removed.

The other switch (under the steering wheel) is still being tackled - I will try and chase the wires to see where they go.

Doubt if it's for battery saving, more likely to stop the head lights
annoying people in cars when stopped in traffic.

Sounds like a good idea - I wonder if you can get one for brake lights and one that permanently disables all foglights.
