Front & Rear Differentials - a few questions

I'm planning to changing the oil in the front & rear differentials in the next few days & I have a few q's:

Does anyone know the amount of oil required? It seems to be somewhere over a litre, but I can't find the exact capacity anywhere.

To check if I have the LSD version, I would need to look for the yellow sticker - where would I expect to find this?

The manual states SAE90W oil (GL5 spec), but the likes of Halfords seem to have SAE80W/90 - would this be close enough?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

from memory of doing mine a while back just over 1 ltr will do per diff.dont know about precise location of a sticker but would assume it would be on the back face of the diff.an alternative method would be to jack up both rear wheels and spin one whilst observing the other-if they turn together then its an lsd.
somewhere on the forum or in the member fact sheets i seem to remember reading a list of oils and alternatives.
hope this helps 8)

I supplied my local Bongo-friendly garage with a 5 litre can when they replaced the rear diff oil for me - I've got about half left

I'm guessing somewhere between 2 and 2.5 litres needed :D (and I was watching as it was done, so I know he didn't pinch any!)

Cheers for the replies. Good point about checking the filler plug first. I'll make a note of how much oil is required & post my findings here.
