Don't know, but it is 2.28 tons. Divide that by 2 and you are in the ball park. And before you ask a ton is 2240 lbs

Wow - that 4WD gubbins weighs a lot  - my 2WD, non electric blinds, non folding mirrors weighs 1.93 tonnes - and before you ask, that's 1930 kg

As I was baffled, I googled it:

2.28 short tons = 2.06838121 tonnes

..which I guess goes some way to reconciling the apparent difference (but never heard of a 'short ton' before, only a 'ton')?

Had my identical vehicle on the weigh bridge a week ago. Exactly 2000kg with driver (75kg). The 4wd is nicely balanced with the engine/transmission behind front wheels sooo, I guess about 60/40 F/R making it about 1200/800. but why not use the recommended tyre pressures? The load is always changing anyway. If you add 8X80Kg adults then you would be near 50/50. Throw in a bit of luggage and your upto 3000kg, when the tail will hit the bump stops over lumpy roads.

A "Ton" is Imperial - "Tonne" (pronounced tunny) is Metric......and there's 2.2046 pounds in a kilogramme.

Our Continental cousins must have a laugh at our way of weighing and measuring

Never heard it called a 'short ton' before though? That's a new one on me, like they are pushing 'ton' off stage left as being eccentric and about to make tonne the new ton (heresy to an Imperial Units man like me, weird or not)

got a customer who owns a scales company.... does stuff with load cells,

I've got to finish 2nd fix at end of week, so will see of I can tap him up to put a cell under each wheel and tell me the loads.... I imagine it won't be a quick thing though... 'cos it'll be next time he has a system set up, if that'll work, they are normally attached to masses of steelwork, but worth asking.....
