Hi gang

Just replaced my fuel filter. Now the bongo won't start. It turns over but won't start.

Now with the new filter came two little rubber rings but when removing the old one there were no little rubber rings so I didn't think I needed them could this be the problem. Obviously the big in built rubber ring was in the filter. What are the little one for?

Please help.

It will take a long time to start until the filter has filled with fuel. I can't remember any small rings with mine, but my memory ain't what it used to be
There may be a primer on top of your fuel pump, if so, use that to get the fuel through.

One top between filter and housing and one bottom of the filter between sender unit if I remember correctly. Without them the pump will draw air into the fuel lines and hence it won't start. I don't understand how your previous filter didn't have them. Were they left behind on the housing or dropped off somewhere?
