Harry's birthday party + Lakeland Rose Show 11th-13th July

OK peeps here goes.

My 59th birthday is on 11th July

I'm working all weekend from Friday through till Sunday evening running my Trade Stand at the Lakeland Rose, Gardens & Crafts Show at the Westmorland Showground at Crooklands near J36 on the M6. See http://www.lakelandroseshow.co.uk

Almost adjacent to the showfield is Little Acre Caravan Park (see uk campsites) and I've booked their rally/camping field. We can have the NW Marquee up for a gathering and I suggest a Jacobs Join and communal BBQ on Saturday night. There are a very limited number of hookups and the field may take about 20 vans. Cost will be around £12 per unit per night.

Access: As you come over the narrow canal bridge at Crooklands our camping field is directly in front of you through the narrow gate (The main road swings sharp right.). At some point I'm hoping the gate will be kept open but meanwhile you may have to stop unless someone is there to open it. Be VERY careful...the road is very busy and narrow at this point. I in doubt turn left down the lane and then immediately right into a yard in front of a bungalow. Turn right again to enter the camping field.

I'll be dining at the nearby Crooklands Hotel on Friday night with my family but I thought it would make a nice weekend away for my bongo chums to have a do on Saturday night.

Di (of Di & Jamie) has kindly offered to do the Meet and Greet on Friday evening...I'll be along whenever I can.

I'm hoping to get the marquee up on Thursday/Friday but if the weather is nasty I may have to leave it till Saturday unless the gang can put it up on their own on Friday evening.

UPDATES
We have 4 (5 at a push) hookups for the weekend. Priority will be given to those staying both nights. Note all hookups now taken

All pitches are on grass...please drive with care.
Except for the 2 caravan pitches the site is slightly sloping. Please bring levelling blocks if you've got them.

'Facilities' are limited...1 shower, 1 toilet & 1 wash up area.
Please bring your own 'facilities' if you can to avoid having to 'wait'.

FREE BEER I HAVE 'AQUIRED' A SEVEN GALLON BARREL OF REAL ALE FROM THE ULVERSTON MICRO BREWERY. THE NAME OF THE BEER IS 'MOUNTAIN RESCUE STRETCHER CASE'. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR THIS AND YOU MAY HELP YOURSELVES ON SATURDAY EVENING...WHEN IT HAS GONE IT HAS GONE, CASH DONATIONS TO MOUTAIN RESCUE WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.THRE WILL BE A COLLECTION BUCKET NEXT TO THE BARREL.

Children Just a couple of cautionary notes. Parents have sole responsibility for the safety and behaviour of their own children. Please ensure that they do not 'hang around' any other pary of the caravan site or toilet block. If they want to leave the rally field for a walk then they are best going along the canal towpath (at parents' discretion).
No ball games are permitted on the camping field.
Alchohol must not be given to other people's kids without the parent's direct permission and may only be consumed in or around the marquee or at bongos with direct parenal supervision.
Sorry to have to put this in but a very small minority of kids have caused problems in the past and it b*****s up the organiser's weekend when he/she has to sort things out and even worse have to confront kids and/or parents.
