You may have a duff ignition switch if you get absolutely nothing when you turn the key to the start position. If you hear a click underneath the van when you turn the key, then your problem is likely to be the starter solenoid. The solenoid is quite easy to rebuild.

there is a click
and then i say give keyt a juggle and it goes

when you say rebuild selonoid - do you mean replace or give some kind of repair to it

Watch this video on youtube on how to change out the solenoid contacts:

New contacts and plunger can be purchased from Southampton Auto Electrical (02380 211988). About £22 including postage.

I changed mine out a little while ago, and it was genuinely an easy job. Starter turns every time now.

The part about giving the key a jiggle may suggest you do indeed have a problem with the ignition switch (where you put the key). If it's the solenoid you have to turn the key off and then on again to get the van to start.
