Well Ady has done Blingo Super proud...

Oil, filters and belts changed...

My goodness my belts were bad... They were split all over the place... Now I can say that the sweet chirping of birds has gone and I can hear the turbo...just slightly.

I honestly would suggest that if you aint replaced your belts take them off and check because mine looked fine until removed...

Thank you for the help with previous posting about belts Air con and Alts...

Cheers Guys and Galls.

Same here both alternator belts were cracked but the air con belt had all but disintergrated and this was on a van that was supposedly serviced by the dealer before I picked it up. :x

To be honest I think a "standard service" is just oil & filters and a quick check of brakes, lights & the such.

Most garages/traders are churning stuff out for maximum profit & wouldn't bother digging too deep for problems they don't need to bother with (Generally you pay a premium for a proper warranty that actually covers stuff). It becomes someone elses problem.

Thats not implying any dishonest business practice but merely observing the world in which we choose to live.
