Does anyone know exactly how to remove the wing mirrors? I have tried for a couple of hours today but can't work out how to remove the motor arm to allow the wing mirror housing to be released.....driving me nuts!! I would like to get them colour coded, and thought the easiest way would be to remove the whole lot....wrong answer! Help...

Whip the door cards off, there should be one bolt on the inside holding the mirror on (10mm), carefully remove the plastic cover on the lower part of the mirror on the outside (50/50 chance it'll break a lug or two on removal) there are two bolts under there. (10 mm again)
Unplug the wire leading to the mirror at the plug, pull the mirror from the door whilst feeding the wire out... It may be an idea to tape the mirror to the door till you are ready to remove the mirror, you could easily forget that the bolts on the other side have been undone!

Soooo, the whole mirror comes off? I was trying to just get the cover off by attempting to remove the gubbins inside. I had the door cards and plastice cover off the outside but wasn't sure about completely removing all bolts...am going in again! Many thanks.

Yes, there is a blank wishihad...but the plug to the wiring can't be reached from there....
The blank must be for the manual mirror type?

Yes, just remove the mirror for painting bongoskye, simply mask the areas that you don't want to receive paint.
I'd remove the mirror glass though....
