Hi,
Just a quickie.
Anyone thinking of installing an actuator for remote central locking, & ive read the threads and know what a fiddly knuckle scraper it is..
I know one installer used two rods in order to negotiate the window mechanism, & the rods supplied never seem to be long enough..

I used a coat hanger wire...
Cut so it runs from the actuator to just under the plastic lock pull, it can be adjusted where you can see it.

No more blind assembly in the door cavity avoiding the black gunk!! :D

If the old bill see you opening car doors with a coat hanger, you might get your collar felt.

Talking of coat hangers, where can you get a decent supply. All the ones from the local charity shops, clothing etc are inferior quality and bend so easily. :(

Talking of quickies.......

Thanks jaylee, it's a job I might be doing one day, so I will bear it in mind, and this gives me plenty of time to find a wire hanger.

Hi Sotonbongo,
I had a bit in the foot well but that's plastic, white spirit got that off.
You could try the chewing gum trick & freeze it with ice to get the worst off?
