Hi everyone i'm new to this, anyone know the torque setting of the front centre c.v. joint nut.

If no-one pipes up, i had a mini once and when i asked an expert he said "Just do it up FT". You can imagine the response when i asked what FT was.

I`ve done the front hub nuts on my Freda not long ago and I did them FT as the torque settings are very high and unless you have access to a torque wrench that is used on lorries you will never be able to acheve it - I used a 3ft long breaker bar and a 36 mil socket and a size 10 foot on the brake pedal to tighten mine. :shock: The front wheels haven`t fallen off yet. [-o< . Hope this helps Ian. Remember the hub nuts are one shot and should be replaced with new ones when you remove the old ones.
