Oil Spray from Head Gasket

Whilst messing about with the scavenger fan (separate thread) I noticed that some oil is coming out from the head gasket on the drivers side (front right os engine block). This appears to be a small problem at the moment but I guess it could quickly become terminal? The Bongo is still under warranty from 321away so I guess it needs to get back to them sharpish?

I think I've heard of this before on several Bongos - just can't remember what the cause is
I'm pretty sure it's nothing important and somebody else will be along to tell you what it is.

Are you sure it's the head gasket & not the rocker cover gasket?

This appears to be a fairly common problem. Some folk reckon it's gunk from the inlet manifold / EGR system, but I think you're correct to assume its the head gasket. I'm just in the final stages of refitting my head & there was quite a lot of oil below the line of the old gasket. You'll probably find its much the same on the near-side, but it's harder to see with the exhaust manifold in the way. It doesn't seem to cause any problems, but if it's still under warranty, you've got nothing to loose asking them to sort it out.
