There's a garage in Caton nr. Lancaster that is recommended in a factsheet in the members area (assume you are a member? Well worth the £10 if not). I seem to recall they quoted me £150 for a quality waxoyl and £40 needed for redoing key areas each year. I went instead for an expensive, quality lifetime job at Chassis Clean in Cheshire. Cost £400 but worth it and I don't have to take it in every year for a top up which would also have cost £30 in fuel to get to Caton, instead of using this local outfit. But the Caton garage sounded good to me.

Is the switch for your rear foglight (sounds like something non standard and maybe fitted upon import, as would be the case when rear foglight fitted to comply with Uk MOT)

Yip, mike charges around £50-£70 depending on the amount of prep involved....

The switch? Quite possibly what mike suggested, rear fog,you will need at least the sidelights on too to get them to illuminate, look for the telltale light on the switch
