Replacing the aerial

I've just bought my first Bongo and need to fit a new aerial. I've bought the aerial and now discover that the plastic disc in the centre needs to be prized out by breaking it, thus making it unusable. According to the instructions that came with the new aerial there should be a replacement disc with the new aerial, but there isn't.

I've searched the site for a discussion that can tell me what to do but nothing out there quite hits the spot.

Anyone got any bright ideas to help me?

Simon

try contacting the seller to see if they will send a replacement disk

or

prise the center disk chrome bit and all out with a sharp knife be carefull not to loose it

also when you undo the allen key underneath there is a bearing that comes off with the aerial dont loose that either

put your location in your profile and someone may be close and offer help

Thanks. Will I be able to re-use the centre disc then? Any good ideas about what to use to prize out the disc?

I used a stanley knife and went round the edge trying to lift it out

but that was after I had replaced it already and was redoing it having lost the bearing so may have been looser

I was going to get a balck screw cap thingy from a diy shop and glue it on if I could not get it out with out damaging the plastic cap
