lights going out.....

I have a problem with my bongo.

Every time we start we have to fiddle with the headlight bulbs to get them to come on. They stay on OK until we stop and then off again.

It all looks a little brittle in their so we are loathed to fiddle about, I am guessing the doohickie that holds the bulb has become a little loose and needs replacing.

I am no teccie, it is due in for a service soon, is this a common fault? and is it easy to fix? Any ideas on costs?

Sage counsel appreciated!
Cheers

I recently replaced one of the headlight connectors apprx £3.00 from unipart, I cut off old comnnector and replacedwith new one, I used block connectors, I should have soldered, the weather was too cold, just ask for H4 connectors

Or as an emergency "quick fix" you can tweak the "female" end of the connectors to grab the male section more firmly...it won't work forever though, you'll have to foloow the same route as pete's for a more permanent repair...
