Silverdale....3rd - 5th October08- Updated on page 1
Gibraltar Farm have asked us back!
Bookings via me, NOT the campsite.
For information the campsite's website is: http://www.gibraltarfarm.co.uk
For photos/reports from last year's meet see: http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 25&t=15285
Dates confirmed as Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th October..
NO DEPOSITS BEING TAKEN. IF YOU HAVE BOOKED A HOOKUP PITCH AND DON'T TURN UP YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PAY THE PITCH FEE AS YOU WILL BE BE DEPRIVING SOMEONE ELSE.
For those that didn't make it last year see previous NW threads.
Booked 41 vans positive so far (as at 10.00m on Friday 12th September)
Hookup requests are being accepted strictly in order of application....and only for Friday AND Saturday nights inclusive.
We could end up with as few as 12 hookups or as many as 18...I won't know until much nearer the date.
The use of splitters is dictated by the spacing of units as we need a minimum distance between units for safety one unit per concrete marker)and we only have a limited amount of space on the hookup side of the roadway.
I'm not very optomistic about adding any splitters except to light the marquee(s).
Remember the best pitches with space and the views are non hookups.
So here are the bookings so far:

I've specifically asked for the first weekend 3rd to 5th with the 10th to the 12th as reserve....these are the only two dates available for a club booking.
Didn't realise that the Welsh bash was going to be in the North...thought is was being scrubbed.
Anyway the Silverdale bash is a NW/Yorkshire 'do' with an open invite to all... so it shouldn't effect the Welsh contingent too much.

Some of us might want to go to both......Harry wrote:Didn't realise that the Welsh bash was going to be in the North...thought is was being scrubbed.

I think that I'm right in saying that we've only had one visitor from Wales at a NW bash (at least 12 in the past twelve months).
I think that some of the NW lot are planning a meet at Shell Island near Barmouth in the summer/autumn.
Its a long way to Caernarfon/Harlech for a weekend for us further north.
Do you realise that the Silverdale and Caernarfon bashes will be 200 miles apart by road but almost in sight across the Irish sea?
