Going away for a couple of days tomrrow, so I thought I would check coolant and oil.

I can't for the life of me see the coolant level as the plastic casing is so opaque. Any simple clues, before I go and overfill it?

Where exacxtly is the dip-stick......apart from siting here at this computer.

Coolant - take the lid off - carefully if it's warm - & look in the top.
Dipstick - under the passenger seat after taking the centre console off & unclipping the 3 seat retaining clips.
Check your ATF & steering fluid as well under the drivers seat while you're there & check all the hoses for leaks & integrity - especially if you haven't got a coolant alarm fitted YET

rule of thumb fill till you can feel it with the tip of your finger any excess will come out of the over flow. Dip stick is under passenger seat. :D

Thanks Guys,

A good time to stay put in lovely Longlevens, Max. I'm only off to my daughter's in Banbury to be fitted for wedding suit - hopefully not too much holiday traffic.

if you look inside the expansion bottle with the cap off you will see a ridge of plastic (i think its a seam) just fill the coolant up to this ridge.

.... Or, stick a lit torch on the top of the expansion bottle, the light transfers through the plastic, where the different colour of the coolant should be easily visible....
