I wonder if anyone can help...not having access to a wiring diagram before I start the job, I was hoping that someone knew whether the horn is constant live, and earthed by the horn button, or constant earth, and powered by the horn button...I haven't crawled around to find the horn yet, so a bit of pre-knowledge helps.
I'm fitting a set of compressor horns to scare the local motorists....Triple Maseratis always provide a shock value at close quarters

When I fitted twin horns, I didn't want to risk the extra load on the switch, so I fitted a relay as a direct replacement for the horn & used that to switch the twin horn from a separate fused connection from the battery. As relays are not polarity-sensitive, it wont matter if its constant live or earth.

BTW, the horn is located under one of the headlamps (can't recall which, but there was a post here the other day about it). Removing the front grill makes it much easier to get to.

On the 'airbag' steering wheel, pressing the horn button sends an earth(via a wound cassette in the boss of the wheel) to a relay. The relay then activates the horn.

Many thanks....I've located the horn under the offside front bumper...I shall fit the relay and compressor under the bonnet....probably under the main battery tray, with a bit of fiddling, and mount the horns in front of the radiator.
