Does anyone with a manual, find the clutch is poor. I've replaced the clutch plate, thrust bearing, and slave cylinder, and bled the damn thing a dozen times, but the clutch release point is still only about 1inch from fully depressed. I hired a Transit last weekend, and realised just how bad my clutch was in comparison. I'm really trying not to replace the master cylinder but thats all thats left. Is poor clutch performance a Bongo thing?

I don't find my clutch any different from the works sprinter, When I say that, I mean there can't be much of a difference as I never stall either, after driver the other, if that makes any sence. :?

Is there any kind of pedal position adjustment max? Some automatically adjust using a ratchet & pawl system, others have an adjuster above the clutch pedal itself,or sometimes there is an adjuster actually where the clutch cable joins the actuator bar on the bell housing.

Perhaps the cable has stretched?

Would there be a cable BDC? :? I assume clutch is hydraulic as slave cylinder mentioned.

So he did john...i hadn't noticed the mention of the slave cylinder

In that case, a hydraulic clutch is self adjusting, as the friction material wears, the adjustment is taken up also...So much for my original theory then
