Replacement Battery for 2.5 diesel bongo

My bongo which I have had since last summer, has the cold weather setup with two batteries. The batteries themselves are only 60Ah each. although the batteries look quite new, they don't seem to hold a charge. If I leave the bongo without driving it for about a week, sometimes there is not enough charge to start it. the charging system is working fine. I have also checked to se if there is current being taken from the batteries when evrything is turned off. but there does not appear to be any drain

It seems one or both batteries are duff.

I have been looking for a replacement. with the idea of having one good big starter battery and use the other battery tray for a leisure battery to drive the auxilaries.

The local suppliers don't seem to have Bongos in there books. The nearest i got to a suitable one was for a Ford Ranger which has the same engine. The size and Terminal connections looked ok to.

They wanted £135 for this 95ah battery.

So I thought I would get the forum views on whether this battery would be suitable. does anyone know partnumbers /makes for a bongo battery.
Is £135 the going rate for one?

Want to get the battery sorted ready for Pevensey Bay meet in April

welcome any suggestions

Battery prices seem to have gone up over the past few months. I bought a 105amp battery 11months ago and it cost about £95.00. For more information read the following thread.

Hi bluestreak, for search purposes, i beleive the main starter battery on the bongo to be the same as the battery used in a land rover discovery.

95 A/H or 105 A/H will be sufficient if reverting to a single starter battery set-up.

Ref no UK 249, or EURO 068.

If it means anything, the battery type I have used is a '335' - i think it is an industry code. Approx 90-100Amps is fine. Prices are going up monthly due to the soaring world price of lead  .
I think I pay around £60, but thats a trade price so I would expect to pay £80 or so, but £135 sounds steep.
