Have the clunking and just looked at droplinks.They seem to be intact and there does not seem to be any slack when 'tugged'.Is it hard to detect if they are the problem until they are removed?(Done the same with roll bar bushes)
Thanks
Chris

a most common problem on the bongo, both front and rear drop links and bushes, for what they cost i would replace the lot, i did when i first got mine because of the clunking as soon as they were replaced ( silence ) great, i hope this helps, lee.

from your vague description..... it does sound like droplinks, a sort of loose clunking regardless of steering or acceleration...
I wouldn't expect you to feel anything under load, I grabbed mine but couldn't feel any play, but the rear bushes fell out of mine anyway, they are only rubber bushes.... and there is 2 ton working on them.... you'll never even get close to that force trying to waggle them...(and if you can.... I'll start calling you SIR!

)
for I think it was about 60 quid, you can change front and rear in about an hour....
and as Lee said.... silence!!
too be honest, if they haven't been changed they probably need it anyway
as to whether to change the chassis bushes too

.... there were some threads on here recently about the advantages of doing that... but I'd just ordered the droplinks when I read them..... I'm sure someone will be along shortly who was involved!
