Got one & it works sucking up water into a 5 litre container, the pump bit sits in a conical rubber collar thing that sits in the neck of the vessel being used, creating a vacuum as you pump. There were only about 10 in Weymouth & I was the 2nd person there as the door opened.

Blimey, Kirsty - you were lucky - the one I got there today will only will hold 1 1/2 litres.

I had the same thoughts as you Yammy when I looked at the last on in Edinburgh's branch and dismised it as being too small but missfixit's smarter than most
- it'll fit any sized container with a neck size up about 30mm. I read her post and immediately rushed back - it was still there

Hello,
Will do Dandy, Any idea's on what to use for sump gasket (ie) instant gasket type thing or go for the real thing

You shouldn't need to change or replace the gasket, John - just be sure to lower the sump carefully, making sure it isn't stuck anywhere.
Not heard of anyone needeing a new one.

I'd avoid instant gasket like the plague - if it gets anywhere near the valve block you'll have endless problems........
