You need to trim back the lugs slightly to make it fit without distorting, looks right in there. Was slightly bothered that the "tick " every minute might get annoying when you're sleeping in it, I'll find out next weekend.

I've got one with green led backlight and shiny ring round it, a little fiddly to fit but looks really good as though it was factory fitted, TICK!, what tick!

Yes I fell for it and bought 1. I do think they look good and as said before look like factory fitted.

i bought one from a "non" haydn callow supplier and didnt get the power plug so although got it fitted, its a bit of an ornament at the mo
so haydn, if you are reading this and tut tutting, my reply is " yeah, i know!"
however, what i did do was clean the whole thing and then sprayed it with a bit of laquer and it looks brand new

Hello,
I have the BMW clock not the MX5 advertised and it fits fine, there is a tick but it's not that loud. BMW clock on the right MX5 on the left.

They all come out of BMW's depends if they are left/right hand drive as to which side of the cubby the clock is on. I have both. I get about 5 left to every1 right

I got one way back when, courtesy of Gozzy. Pippin sent me a bulb for it (I owe him a pint). Bought mango a haydn alloy ring for it as a Xmas present, which is a MUST for good looks. I love it. And the tick (1 tick a minute) is pure class in my view (deliberate design feature) and not an issue at all, and I love the way you just hold in the + or 1 button and it click whizzes round to the time you want. I'm an analogue clock man these days so its the one for me

Trekie, I empathise. I bought one off e bay which hadn't even had a wipe, and came without a plug.
Was very green bongo owner, and I didn't research properly: so its sitting unfitted.
Haydn, do you supply plugs on their own?

I wanted to fit mine in the lower section, but there is a bar in the way, I take it I have to modify this in some way?
