Can anyone tell me can you get a led replacement for the fluorescent tube in the back of the van as the light from mine isn't great even with a new bulb fitted.

Cheers Gary

I'm no expert on such things gary, but i think that the electrical gubbins for the fluorescent tube is completely different to the power source for a filament bulb, led's have little resistance, which may overload the gubbins which make the tube work....

The light shouldn't be too bad. Sometimes it's not the tube that's at fault, but the connections holding the tube. Sometimes the soldered joint at the back of the connection breaks - relatively easy to fix.

A direct LED replacement would not really be practicable.

There is internal circuitry in the fitting that produces a high voltage to strike the fluorescent tube.

If only these were made in the right size...

Hello,
Rhod is right, My light wasn't that bright even with new bulb so checked the soldering on the clips that hold the bulb (they were loose) re-soldered, working fine!!!
