interior light tube

The big tube light in the middle rear of the van, is not a single tube. Its a "U" shaped tube and has 4 connections at the one end. It has a marking Samyuk FUL 10T6G. It looks original, but none of the vendors has heard of it. I've searched the internet and no sign of anything like this.
Anyone else got the same?
Any clues for a replacement tube?

Got my replacement from Maplins - it cost £2.99 - it is a 6w F6W/T5 and is 212mm long - ask for item # GS 98 and they keep them in stock. Hope this helps Ian.

Thanks Ian, but I just measured mine and its half that size! and the tube!
Seriously, its like one of those tubes bent in half, so all 4 pins are at one end. Strange but true.

It doesn`t sound like it is an original item tube - has someone done a `mod` in the past ?

Oh dear, I think this is like mine and the only place I could get one was from Japan through our local Mazda dealer. The Mazda dealers have it listed on their system. I tried everywhere else to no avail.
The price? A catastrophic £34.00 though that did include postage and took about a week.

Spikethorn,
When I got mine, Mazda here had ordered two. It might be worth giving them a ring to see if they still have it.
The Name and address is Mazda, Tritton Road, Lincoln.

the F6W/T5 is a standard t5 fluorescent, and it is a 6 watt lamp....
so it's a tube of glass with 2 pins at either end...
you're lamp will be a T6, which is a loop of glass with a big plastic base over both ends and either 2 or 4 pins, I've seen FUL 12s and 15s but not 10s
I've looked a bit harder.....
this is nearly what you want
http://www.lampspecs.co.uk/Light-Bulbs- ... t-BL350-T6
it should look like that, but this is a black light variant.... still it'll stop you being annoyed by insects!
sorry best I can do so far, I'll ask at wholesalers..........
doesn't look like the club shop has these though! they are the T5s

Hey John, this is exactly right ! I think its designed to ATract insects!! Could make the van look like a '60s Diso? shows the dandruft, and false teeth. Still we're on the right track. At least I'm not imagining things, and am not alone.

Hi Spikethorne,
The phone number isn't in the directory under Mazda so it must be under a private name. I shall be passing there tomorrow, would you like me to pop in and ask about the bulb?
