Booked the bongo to go in for it's mot tomorrow morning

.
Did a quick level check & general inspection, glad I did, top hose by the inlet manifold has the minutest pinprick leak starting

So I've just emailed Flippa, I knew I should have ordered the hoses last week when I had a really strong urge to get my set ordered as I put Flippa's email link up for Bernie

. Have to get on to Manflex first thing for the hoseclips too, this forum is brill isn't it, you know what the problems are & how to sort them before they happen
Thought I'd better check the droplinks & antirollbar bushes as it sounded like one of the rears had worked loose or something, got my tyre & exhaust fitter friend to let me use the ramps after work as my back is agony at the mo - the "or something" was a broken anti roll bar bush bracket
He spent the next 2 hours removing the old bits - siezed nuts

& fabricating a new bracket - what a star, jobs a good un, better than the originals. Will be ordering a new pair of brackets though asap - moral of the story - when you replace the bushes - do the brackets at the same time even if they look ok
I'm hoping after that frantic couple of hours that it'll fly through the mot

Good luck Kirsty - I reckon she'll fly through. Then on to the hoses. It never ends. But I've always felt antiroll bar bushes went in synch. with rear droplinks so interesting to see a case of it actually happening!

I did change the bushes with the droplinks - just didn't do the brackets

Hopefully if the brackets & hoses get here in time (Flippa reckons hoses'll be here by friday

) I'll get it done on sunday, must get some antifreeze (again) already booked my friendly fitter to give me a hand

When you replace the brackets take the rubbers off the antiroll bar, clean up the bar with fine emery cloth and rebuild with rubber grease - the bushes will last much longer.

Cheers Ste, I'm actually thinking I may have to get the guys at Dunnings to do the hoses, I hate to admit defeat, but I'm not sure my back is up to it at the moment.
Don't want to screw my back up & not be able to go to the Rest of the West minimeet

Either that, or I may just do the 1 hose that is about to go for now, I suppose we could have a silicone hose fitting workshop at the Minimeet
