Hi all, looking to get some new coolant hoses fitted ( as a precaution ) , oil and filters changed etc. Need a recommendation of somewhere in the North East / Yorkshire area preferably but I don't mind doing a bit of travelling ( within reason ) to get the right place.

Cheers Platty, must admit to considering Wheelquick. Bit of a trek for some but as a HGV driver I won't mind the run across to Wigan to have someone with real know-how to carry out the work.

There are garages listed for this area in the members section but I've tried to establish on what basis members recommend them but there doesnt seem to be any format. Joe Bloggs down the road could change the oil but that won't make him a expert will it !!!! It would be helpful if when recommending garages members listed what work was carried out.

I agree the list of garages would be more usefull if the name of the person recomending each garage was available either on he website so they could be PM'd or via contacting Ian. We would then have an idea of the expertise available at a particular garage before visiting it.

Hiya Raff..yeah, I have the same problem, no-one to fix my Bongo!!!!
I am pretty desperate too for a Bongo freindley, north east garage, so if you happen to find some-one within a 30 mile radious of teesside who we can trust with a Bongo...then please, please, please PM me........
I can currently using it only when I have to and then I only dare to do short journeys as as it has an intermittant flashing holdlight....yikes!!!!
Good Luck finding a garage and maybe we should encourage more teessiders to have bongos up north....then we might get a Bongo freindley garage!!!!

I can recommend HAYSCARTH on Morgan Drive in Guisborough. Whilst not Bongo specialists I have been more than happy with the work they have done on me Bongo such as new suspension arm and general work/servicing.

Hey, thanks for that, I'll give them a check out next time Im over in Guisborough. I usually use Melbourne in Brotton for Tyre and Exhaust and they have done a CV boot for me, and I usually go to BankTop garage in Billingham for my MOT, which is due next month.....but I recon I am going to need an automatic gearbox specialist, to sort out this intermitant flashing holdlight problem, am hoping it is electrical but have it at the back of my mind it is going to be a costly business. I just hate that feeling of getting ripped off at garages and would prefer to be recommended, so thanks friendley "local" bongo owner, you must be the closest yet!!!
