Spare Wheel

I have a very basic question about the spare wheel of my Bongo. Apologies if it has been asked before but it did not appear to be in the recent history of the techie forum.
How do I get the spare wheel off?
I have a space-saver wheel - do folk generally stick with this or replace it with a full sized wheel? Is there space for a full sized wheel in the spare wheel bay - it looks quite roomy? I noticed from the service manual that the standard tyre spec is for different front and rear tyres:
Front: 195/70 R15 or 195 S R15
Rear: 215/65R15 or 215/70 R15
I have intermediate tyres all round: 205/55 R16. This doesn't seem to be a problem - has anyone else had any experience of this?

in the cubby hole on the sliding door step you should find a long pole which fits through a hole in the rear bumper and engages the winding mechanism to lower the wheel down.
there is plenty of room to fit a full size wheel as a spare,apparently the space saver is horribly to drive on.
as for tyre size it comes down to personal preference but it appears most owners have the same size allround.try a search as there has been a lot of posts on this matter.
above all enjoy and dont be afraid to ask.lots of knowledge available.

In your toolkit should be a long bar with a lug at one end, open the rear door and you will see a small hole in the upper bumper. slide the bar lug end first in the hole as far as poss, gently twist it until you feel it lock. Now use the ratchet to turn the bar. The spare will lower via a winch, when low enough twist out the retaining bracket. Job done. Piutting the spare back is the reverse. Just make sure the wheel is in position and tight.

the only thing that i will add is the long pole which is mentioned is clipped into two brackets and it is suspended from the roof of the cubby box with the jack and small tool bag

Wow - rapid response! Many thanks for the replies - answers all my questions. I wondered what that small hole was for.
Have recently relocated to Cork, Ireland. Good Bongo potential from what I've seen so far - 4WD useful for getting out of some of the potholes!

My spare came from Manchester Campers and the wheel on it is a 225 whereas I think my 4 running wheels are 205. I'm not too fussed as I'd rather run on that than the scary spacesaver while I find somewhere to repair the punctured one. Incidentally, eh spacesaver needs to be kept at something like 60psi (can anyone reading this confirm?). If its pressure is too low it will roll off the rim on the first bend (nice!!). Also, the rubber on mine is (was - I don't use it now!) 12+ years old which didn't give me a warm feeling as I pumped it up to 60 psi
