Does your hazard light switch illuminate?
Mine doesn't and I had to us it quickly tonight on the M5 and couldn't find it. So I just wondered if there is a bulb behind I need to change.

How stupid do I feel

Just been out & levered it out again & the bulb fairies have snuck in & put one in!

I'm sure it wasnt there before

Must change the medication
It's a 3mm wire type filament bulb in the same type of holder as in the climate control, so it's quite easy to change, but with a little white condom on to dim it down as it's a bit too bright without as i've just found out. The holder was a bit of a pain to get out as it is recessed in the side of the switch, I had to fiddle about with a pair of tweezers
You could use a similar size 12v led & may not need the condom as they tend to be bit dimmer if they are standard or HE ( high efficiency), but the legs are a bit fatter & you'll have to force the holder in to turn it & will then have problems if you want to go back to the much narrower legged wire type bulbs, as it won't be tight fit any more ( as i found out with the climate control

).
God isn't this forum great

& I only feel slightly stupid

But at least I can find my hazards in the dark now

Cheers guys

Trust me it fine, i enjoy tinkering getting things working n that, what i do dislike tho is the fight through the traffic to go to maplins to buy the bulbs from the misery of a sales person that doesn't even smile when he takes my dosh,

he grates me, mail oredr me thinks prob cheaper than the petrol

Dunno mate

The pic aint brill, but, you can just make out the hazard switch faintly glowing... (directly above the red strip on the heater)
