Pinking and Rattling

Hi our Alfie has started a small rattling noise and a pinking noise??????
HELP any ideas?

Diesel, or petrol, & which engine?
Diesels don't 'pink' as such (notwithstanding some members colour schemes)

Hiya
Diesel engine 2.5 turbo. I know they don't pink but sounds like it lol..
and definitely rattles.

when stationary try turning the steering wheel a bit. If the rattle stops..suspect power steering pump.... not a big deal...loads do it.

It does not rattle when stationary only when driving along!!!!!

Yep, my PAS pump claters a little unless I load it. I assume it must be the pressure relief valve.
