Bmw clock - noisy tick?

Fitted my bmw clock (having taken out the plastic red light shade & sticking a green filter over the bulb so it matches the rest of the dash illumination 8) ) but am now slightly concerned that it may keep me awake when I am sleeping in the bongo due to the audible tick as it clicks over every minute. Has anyone found this to be a problem? Spotted this thread from last year for a mazda 626 digital clock, may have to keep my eye out for one, but I do like the look of the bmw one  :?

Yep, same here!

When I first got the van I thought it was the split charge relay ar glowplug relay until I realised. I have got used to it now though.

If you'd rather have a nice quiet digital clock fitted up by the rear view mirror, then I've got another few ready to go. See below for more details:

Send me a PM & I'll send you further details.

Had one of Simon's clocks fitted since last April. No noise, no fuss, no bother! Absolutely the D's B's
Really looks like it was meant to be part of the original fixtures too 8) .

I noticed the clicking at first...then, quickly got used to it...

My clock glows a nice neon blue, thanks to Haydn Callow...

Can't remember when I last heard the tick? might be because of the loud music playing on the stereo. Also we never sleep in her, so theres never a quiet moment.

The electronic clock is £40 plus post and he seems to have gone to bit of bother to supply everything needed to fit it

The price of £40 includes postage & packing, as well as detailed instructions & all the necessary wiring. I'll be at a few of the meetings inc Southern Softies, so will be able to knock off a bit for the postage as well as assist with installation if required.
