Reversing lights

My reversing lights seem very dim, probably OK to warn anyone behind but not nearly as bright as I would like for seeing where I'm going in the rearview mirror.
Anyone ever had this problem?
Anyone ever tried fitting brighter bulbs?

Use the foglight, just don't forget to turn it off again. I intend to add some reversing lights probably underbody type idea, probably along the sides aswell, it's quite a long way down the joblist though

thanks, team
This morning Mrs Pict complained about how far out I had left the Bongo when I came home last night
Did the numberplate LEDs do the trick Brora? They might get a person in a bit of trouble with Mr Plod if he was using flash-proof plates

any thoughts?
Until I get to a more suitable solution I will be continuing to use Kirsty's fog lamp trick

. It does a far better job of illuminating the back of the van.

Led's do help a bit, as in I can notice the road lit up in the rear mount mirror, but it's rather dim. I've got 4 led lamps in just now, I did try it with 9 leds, but one fitting started to smoke.

I think it was due to a poor connection.

I'm planning to try again, and pull out the pins on the led, for a better grip in the fitting.

I will let you know how it goes.
I too, have used the rear fog for extra light. It does help, and like missfixit70, one day I might add an extra light or two.

I Have not found a flush fitting clear light/lens like the red fog. Bigdaddycain has a nice pair!

Check out the "don't click here" at the bottom of one of his posts.

Yo Brora!...I simply CANNOT find this light(s) any more...
I did a search on e-bay, then went through my e-bay purchases one by one, (i'd had a pm asking where they were from),but find it...i could not
It doesn't help that the item description dissapears after 90 days, which means that you have to second guess the type of seller you are trying to look up....
I originally put something like "flush clear" in the e-bay search bar... Or something like that....
