Battery Prices - warning - they are going up and up

I was warned today that the cost of batteries is likely to go up regularly as the price of lead increases.
I use a local supplier and they have increased their prices 5 times in the last few months in line with the whole sale prices they are charged.
If you are thinking of getting a new battery - normal or leisure, it could save you £ to get it earlier rather than later.

That's why I posted the thread about reasonably priced dual purpose boat batteries at the local marina's chandlery shop.

I have stopped stocking them here at Bongo Towers. There has been a 30% increase in the wholesale price in the last 6 weeks.

My battery supplier writes to me monthly showing the world price of lead on a graph - I think he must be under the impression that prices have gone so high that we wont believe him.
