how do i stand if i reverse my front rear seat to face backwards on the seat belt law ?, as you must know you only get to use the centre lap strap once the seat has been reversed so could i fit 2 more lap straps to the seat ( just the long bit as the buckle is already there ) and will this be leagal for the mot ? if this is possible where do i mount the new straps on the seat frame ?,
also if this can be done has anyone got 2 lap belts that they are willing to sell to me,
as you can see form a previous post i was also looking for a factory fitted kitchen unit, this has now been put on hold in favor of a removeable one ( yes she who must be obeyed has won again ) so if anyone has one of those at a good price please contact me,
message to mods === if this is in the wrong place please accept my appologies & place in the correct section, i hope someone can help, many thanks, LEE :-k

No worries on the MOT front for seatbelts on a rear facing seat.

Not a requirement.

Mine has 2 lapbelts (more for piece of mind than anything else), the seat nearest the door has one looped in to attatch to the main seat mount on the runner. It just needs a little "modification to the plastic cover around the runner mount.

Not an MOT item in reversed format Trident - plenty of info in the SEARCH malarky :)

I should be able to sort you out a lapbelt or 2 lee - will have a look over the workshop tomorrow and see what I have in my spares box.
I presume you will fit them onto the seat fixing bolts, although having never tried I dont know if they are long enough to still reach when secured this way.

yes, they are long enough, you just have to drill the bolt hole on the mounting plate a little wider so the seat bolt that attaches the seat to the runner will fit through
