Mazda ISO Leads

Hi again,

Another question from a new Freda owner I`m afraid :)

I am picking up a Ford Freda this week, and I have bought a DVD player for it. Will the Mazda ISO connectors you see on eBay / Halfords be the same for the Freda or will I need Ford ones?

Again, thanks in advance guys :)

Mazda ones should do just fine - I seem to remember they were quoted as 121 adaptors.

As far as I am aware, the only difference between the Mazda and the Ford versions is the badges. The wiring should be identical. The adapter I used when I connected my radio was a PC2-10-4, from Halfords.

if you want the iso lead, the ones from halfords were £15 when i bought mine, but after i bought it i found that bongobits did them for £11 they use to sell them for around £7.50

hi neil qestion for you
why do you need a iso adapter ?
unless your bongo /freda has had wireing chopped you dont need them as most stereos now days come with one

all you need to do is swap yellow wire ( memory wire ) and red (live ) into each others connecter and hey presto you have memory on your stereo

Well, I`m not 100% sure whats behind the stereo thats in it at the moment as I pick it up this week.
It has an aftermarket stereo in it at the moment, so dont know what to expect really.

Thanks for the replies guys. Great as usual :)

Sorry guys, but if you have a standard mazda or ford wiring harness it will not fit a standard uk radio with ISO connections - hence the need to buy one.
The one you need is a PC10-4 (I think) - it should state all Mazda except 121 (sorry Dandy).

The reason being that a 121 is/was a rebadged Ford Fiesta and it was made in Dagenham, so had ISO instead of Japanese connectors.
