Do you know how to replace the bulb in the front passenger-side parking guide pole? I have unscrewed the whole pole from the bumper and it has revealed (left behind) a pair of stiff wires with nothing on the end. Is the bulb inside the stick? Is it an LED? Does the transparent plastic lens come off? Where can I get a new bulb? many thanks

I presume yours is the non telescopic type?
If so. then, yes, the lens does come off, but is probably very tight. Careful you don't shatter it.
There is a pea bulb in a holder but if you only have two wires it sounds as though this is missing. I suggest you go to Maplins and buy an LED, but make sure you get the polarity correct before re-assembly and insulate the wires!.
Good luck.

Thanks for you replies. Yes, your right its not telescopic. When you say the lens unscrews - is it just the plastic clear bit or does the chrome collar at the top unscrew. Cheers, dont want to force the wrong bit!

Mine was green plastic lens and that was all that unscrewed, But they get brittle with age so be very careful. might help if you soaked it in V hot (not boiling) water first. Brass presumably having a higher coefficient of expansion than plastic?

Wanted to fix mine, but got the feeling it would bust if i tried unscrewing it any harder :( So thought better to have unbroken one, not working, than a busted one. :? Gotta be some reasoning there somewhere

 Mine works :D :D While chatting to a BF today member, i just happened to pull the top off and was surprised there wasn't a bulb, so we guessed the light must come from the bottom, shining up, so put bit back on. Well couldn't believe it, by the time i got home it was glowing neon green :? I guess after a year of not working it just needed a  good screw
