having just installed a dvd player in the bongo i thought i would add to it with a reversing camera as the head unit has all the connections ready for this, having looked to see where i can mount a camera lens ( ie under rear spoiler ) i looked on e-bay to be greeted with hundreds of different types, has anyone ever fitted a lens under the rear spoiler, if so could you let me know what type you fitted, i dont rearly need a reversing camera i am only doing this for my wife who has a little trouble reversing the bongo in the dark mainly due to the fact that i have 90% limo blacked out windows, any info would be greatfully recieved, LEE

ps,,, Is it too early to wish all the bongo owners a very safe & merry xmas, LEE 8)

thanks for the xmas greetings I have thought about a reversing camera but as I use the reversing mirror to it's full potential, i.e. can get within half an inch of the vehicle behind is it worth the cost/ bother of a camera?
good luck with your search there are loads around at different prices.

I've just fitted one in the rear bumper - its a colour CCD one so picture is good. Its powered by the reversing light and switches the head unit on automatically. The only problem is that it is really hard to judge the distances - I'm thinking of moving it to the spoiler as per the russian post - from the spoiler I think the wide angle of the lense will cover about 6 feet of road behind and show the bumper (like the rear view mirror) which will give the distance reference I need!
