My guess is that it's an EGR blank of some kind.

Ahh, of course. Is this EGR blanking a worthwhile expenditure?

Actually he says it isn't a blanking plate, but I am certain its some kind of EGR mod.

A lot of words from the vendor,but no specifics makes me think its a rip off...
Many will buy,then not bother with getting a refund as the amount required is so low.
Lots of people will also think "what have i got to lose for £3.25?"
That's why these "magic" devices are sold so cheaply.
If they were any good, and worked..i'm sure Ian would sell them in the club shop
