I removed my intrument panel today because the speedo stopped working. The help I found on the forum worked - tightened the 3 scres on the back of the speedo. However I discovered an unconnected lead behind the panel ( on the right hand side). Switches that correspond with this are 2 blanked off and one with the top open. The folloowing link shows the cable and connector - any one any ideas?

I also found the 2 straps shown in the following pic in the back of the van when I bought it - again any ideas?

Is it not the plug for the cold start switch that seems to have
a blank in it? not a clue for the strap, not that I could mention
on here anyway.

These straps are like ones used to hold the two rear single side hung seats vertical. The black plastic end hooks on to a grap handle above a side window and the other end ties on to metal tube frame of the seat.

I have similar unused connector as in your pic.
Could it be for the electrical window blind deluxe option which I do not have.

If it's on the right hand side -front foglight switch would be my best guess, I think the loom is put in as standard even if the lamps aren't fitted. Dunno about the straps, they look nothing like the straps on my split rear seats, mine have a metal hook/clip that secures them to the grab handles, don't see how the plasti bits on those would do the job effectively, but then I could be wrong :? You might wanna reduce the size of your photo before the moderators slap your wrists

Or the cibies on bullbars... My brother in law had bumper fogs, and the yellow cibies on his bullbars, you had the option of switching to one set or the other, but not both simultaneously.

Could be the straps which secure the TV to the missing TV stand which bolts over the centre console, maybe you'll find it cropping up on the world's favourite auction house  ........................talk of the devil - here's a similar one right HERE

I wonder how much a semi with garage is these days around our shark infested ports - plenty scope for a wee part time job in sales methinks

Looking at the pics with the TV stand it seems to have one continuous strap rather like a belt. I wonder if the items I have are left over from a Japanese child seat.
