Hi
I have done a search for my problem but not sure of information I found
My charge light and sediment light are lit faintly on the dash, they have been like this for a couple of days
They can only be seen with lights off ?
Does "The Bong" need to see a Bongo Doctor ?
Any help greatly recieved
This has nothing to do with my cosmetic enhancement at weekend the problem was there prior to surgery !

When it happened to the Bong, it was the alternator, only it wasn't feint, it was like a beacon glaring out of the dash!

If the light glows a full red pete, that does indeed indicate that there could be a fault with the alternator, however, if the light is barely lit (often accompanied by the sediment light) then that indicates that the split charging relay is causing the light to glow faintly.
SOME split charge relays tap directly into the alternator, which causes a slight current draw...its this that makes the light(s) glow ever so slightly.
I don't think it causes any harm Dawn, its just the nature of the beast,it may be worth getting a local auto electrician to run a test on the alternator though, just to put your mind at rest.
