Electrics Issue, interior light flashing and other problems!

Hi, hope someone out there can help identify this problem.
I have a very lovely 96 reg 2.5 AFT but got into the Bongo this morning and noticed that the interior light was flashing, a clicking sound was coming from behind the dashboard (clicking at the same rate as the interior light) and the radio was not working.
Its seems that the power to the interior electrics powered by the #1 fuse is being interrupted in time with the regular clicking. Removing #1 fuse stops the clicking/flashing but I then noticed I get a faintly glowing door open warning light and when the passenger door is then opened the glow plug light flashes. This only happens when #1 fuse is removed.
The rest of the electrics seem fine and the Bongo drives as normal.
I have a leisure battery fitted but checked this and just to make sure the leisure circuits were not at fault I reset all internal electrics back to the main fuse panel. No change though and battery voltages were fine so I obviously have a wiring fault somewhere.
Next step was checking the wires between the doors and the bulkhead. Un-wrapped them but no sign of any wear or break. Where do the wires normally fail? I only checked them between the two gromits (i.e. between gromit going into door and gromit going into body).
I'm assuming it is the door wiring at fault but I could be wrong, any other ideas? Also where is the clicking coming from, I can hear it but can't identify the relay. Sounds like it is behind the glovebox somewhere.
Thanks!!!
