Welcome aboard! We drove through Clayton-le-Morrs yesterday in our lowtop, en-route from Oswaldtwistle to Halifax. But we didn't see you though!

We moved from Swindon Wilts where we lived for 25 years. We fancied a change of lifestyle and we bought a small hotel called The Maple Lodge.

Good move! I'm an ex southerner who has found himself enjoying the North I go (retreating from global warming!?!). I love the south but I love the relative peace, lighter traffic, and the landscapes (oh and the people) up North and beyond.

You'll be able to 'niche' market the Maple Lodge for itinerant Bongo owners travelling between southern UK and Scotland and who fancy a stopover without putting the awning up. Just don't let any VW campers stay at the same time as you don't want any drunken brawling in the bar 8)
