Hi all, I need to get the heater fan resistor pack out of my van for another club member, does anyone know where it is or have pictures of how to get at it?

Cheers

Almost dead centre under bonnet just below the clear drain hose from windscreen gully:-

Cover just clips off, and the resistor is held by a couple of screws, as seen above

I've just resoldered mine after losing fan speeds 2 & 3. I do like the fact that it says in big letters on the top "DO NOT REPAIR"!

Have just re-soldered my resistor as well dead easy, very obvious which tabs need soldering, looks like mine had been done before, or the Japanese soldering company has crap solderers (if that's a word).
EBay have them for about £60 plus postage. my solder gun was £12 from Aldi worth every penny.

really easy fix!!!
ignore what it says on the plastic!!
bend four lock tabs to release plastic cover to reveal broken solders.
my fan didn't work at all for an age but it took me about a minute to fix

My fan on my Clim Con version isn't working. Is it common that for the resistor to have come unsoldered on this type?

Cannot get my hands on it for a couple of weeks, but I would like to get it sorted asap.

Very common fault with bongos...usually sytomatic of the aircon fan starting to stick a bit.

Check that it moves freely by reacing in through the ducting to the right of the leccy bit ...sort of squarish large hole facing you and you reach in and down to spin the fan from above.

Waste of time doing the fan resistor if you don't free up the fan first.

Good luck

or if yours was like mine, the solder was intact but the board was caput  , so it cost mee £77 for a new one  , then the fan just went a couple of months after i refurbed it  so another £87 for a second hand one what was like new :D
