Hi All
Can any one tell me what the round plastic disc shaped
thing under the throttle pedal does? on mine it's marked
lock/unlock or some such, turning it allows you to take the
top off and reveals a nut but what it does is a mystery to me.

It's for pit crew use in Bongo racing, it operates the air jacks and releases all four wheels for tyre changing during endurance races!! Leave it alone, you'll be alright, trust me, would I lie to you??

Is yours an SE model?
It is only functional on the SE version or some of the X variants, I believe.

Unscrewed mine and the Bong went flying round like a demented balloon; luckily someone's Mercedes stopped it before it did any damage to itself.

Seems it's a just a boring pedal stop thingy then
pity I was hoping it was adjustable and you could
set it so it did say 70 with foot flat down for cruising
on the M way, bugger.

Ralph, if you want cheap a throttle travel limiter, a bungee strap of the correct length, hooked on your belt, then on the first eyelet of your boot will restrict travel, if you wear 13 eyelet Doc Martens you can vary the tension to 13 speeds. I think I should sell these bongo speed controls on Ebay.

Shakey (Watch out for sudden acceleration, the rebound from kickdown could be a cheap form of contraception!!)

Ralph, you could have saved yourself all this bother if you had used the SEARCH facility.
You lot - get back in your cages!
