Does any know if other speedo's from uk cars (mph) will fit into the bongo.
I have seen the electron chip to change the kph to mph. But i would prefer to just change the whole clock.
Cheers Duncan

There has been much recent discussion here on the forum regarding use of complete sppedo mechanisms from Mazda cars.
You will be mighty informed when you read them - by doing a search.
The main method in use is just to replace the speedo face with an mph calibrated one, leaving the odo to read in kms.
Chip converters can lead to intermittent faults that confuse the gearbox and engine.

Mines got the 626 in.
No problem having the miles in km - infact its great 'cos you get around 500 to a tankfull of juice!!The only odd thing is the speed on the dial reads about 18% fast compared to my satnav speed. Maybe needs calibrating or something. . . .?

If your speedo is 18% fast, does that mean the odometer is going 18% further as well ?
You may be only doing 400km to a tank full

Good point! .
But then the true mileage is a lot less too!

Having questioned the accuracy of the odometer I decided to check the one I was driving today over a 600km run.
Tyres are 215/55/17 so slightly lowering the final drive ratio as per Torchwood's suggestion by approx 4%. At 3000rpm speed is now 78mph as opposed to 75 on standard tyres.
My speedo is almost bang on having been adjusted using sat nav.
I am not sure how the bongo translates the signal into distance covered, but checking against the sat nav it was spot on.
I will have to run a similar check on one where I have not recalibrated the speedo yet (and know it is over reading by at least 15%) - just out of curiosity.
Also quite pleased as I broke the 30mpg barrier(mostly motorway 70mph).
I may have to start telling my customers that they are quite good on fuel

- I normally say the are cr@p on fuel and expect mid to high 20's
