What is a corner guide?

Anyone know what the "Corner Guide" button on the dash does? I also have a telescopic looking device on the front passenger side bumper, shows where front of car comes to, is this related and should it disappear into the bumper as mine seems stuck.

Any thoughts/information would be very useful,

Ta,

Andrew.

The item you are describing is your corner guide, if it`s stuck down there may be a couple of things to look at - is the motor operating as you push the switch and if so it may be something inside stripped or snapped :( . Mine is also tempermental as it goes up ok but refuses to go down properly - one day i`ll get around to looking at it.

They also have solid (non telescopic ones) with a light on top.

Now I am confused, mine is a telescopic one but it has a light (glass refelcting thingy) on the top. If you push it down by hand it goes so far but not all the way down. Am assumiing it is a motorised one (switch inside on dash saying corner guide) and hence see if wiring/otor is knackered.

Ps are there anyu electrical wiring diagrams for this sort of thing, I could also do with the rear speaker diagrams, mine aren't working. I have heard that there may be none but haven't been able to get under the trim yet.

Thanks for the replies, any further info gratefully received,

Andrew.

The only wiring guide available for Bongos is on the CD-ROMS sold by Ian in the club shop.

It is only partly converted to English with most of the schematics being in Japanese. An understanding of the schematics would therefore be very helpful.
