Bongo Fury

going to fit a towbar and one of those luggage carrying trays for bikes etc.

any advice on which to fit and advantages of twin electrics would be welcome.

Don't but a back plate to put on, had to take mine off to hitch up. I have twin electrics, only use i find it, is to keep the fridge running on long runs.
Normally tow with a 4x4 with no extending mirrors, but def found i need them with the Bongo.

dont think there is a lot of choice in towbars,mines a towsure.about £90 fitted myself.

bought mine from the bongo fury shop... fitted myself, very straight forward to fit with clear instructions......

Hey ho !!! not a mechanic but got mine from bongo fury site. chassis had to be drilled but done mine on my own in approx 3 hrs. Only fitted single elecs. Never really use two on caravan.

I contacted a company yesterday in Looe Cornwall following a recomendation on the forum .Fell off my perch when they quoted just under £200 incl post for a self fit! !
Bongo bits seem to have a reasonably priced one Has anyone fitted it ?
I want one which is as unobtrusive as possible and still leaves my rear towing eye in place

Search on the net, can't remember who I brought mine from but it was actually a towsure one but at a lower price. If my memory is correct I think I had a bar, ball & electrics kit for less than £100. Couple of hours to fit, but best to paint it before fitting.

As far as I know, the tow equipe is the same as a tow trust, and virtually identical to the towsure. The tow sure could do with a plate with 2 nuts welded for the n/s rear box section, but onlt needs a few more minutes to fiddle into position. Both these types do require removal of rear tow eye, but with a tow bar I cant see the need to keep it!.
Bongo bits sell a complete kit for around £100 I think, and 2 hours should see it fitted.

TIP.....For the hole you have to drill I used a cheap 16mm flat wood bit. The drill went through quicker and easier than expected and then with the use of a hammer, gently knocked the pipe in, no problems.
