12v power behind the front seats

I know there's probably a law against asking so many questions in one day but what the hell I'm new!

Can anyone tell me if there is a convinient 12v positive connection that I can tap into around the back of the centre handbrake unit. I want to hide a cig lighter style plug behind the carpet back there to plug in a games console for the kids when camping. I've already got the AV cables running to there from behind the dashboard but would rather take the power from somewhere closer.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Probably not, because cigar lighter sockets may require more power than other circuits.

you can buy ciggy sockets from halfords with long cables ,plug into front ciggy socket then run the wire to where you want.

I bought a 3 x ciggie lighter that had a (v strong) adhesive pad so I could stick it to the back face of the centre console. I extended the wiring and ran it under the centre console, behind the glove compartment and thrugh the bulkhead to the leisure battery. It works very well for me. While mentioning it, I then got a 300w inverter and mounted that on the cross member up behind the glove compartment (an excellent tip from BF member dandywarhol) and into that I plugged a 4-gang extension lead with 1m lead on it. That sneaks under the front of the centre console and the gang lead is velcro'd to the side of the centre console on the drivers side. That allows my kids to use their PS2 etc. mains transformers with the lead slipping alongside my seat from the 13amp socket to the appliance. Taken all together, it meets our needs v well indeed. Quick and simple to install too.

I did the same I ran cables from the power outlet in the back of the bongo underneath the vehicle into the Non door side wired in another outlet (from ascrapyard) just by the rear air con control- it sounds harder describing it than doing the job actually.
