Hi Jaki,
We had this on our Bongo when we test drove it at Kernowbongo.
There is quite a lot of info about it in these forums (search Roof AND light AND flashing) the upshot is, in our case that the micro switches in the roof can fail. The choice is to replace (difficult) or disconnect the wiring. If it is obvious that your roof is properly closed then it would be OK to drive tomorrow and have a more detailed examination later. We had ours disconnected and will probably not bother sorting it, but always make sure our roof is closed.
Hope this helps.

normally its a switch that is knackered , there are two micro switches on the front under the roof , the one that seems to cause the problems is the drivers side one try putting a bit of card board between the switch terminals and see if the light goes out , should be safe to drive though never heard of a bongo roof flying up and over

Thank you

Bought mine with a flashing roof light. Nearly 1 year on and I've 'fixed' it by taping a bit of black tape on the dash so I dont have to look at it. Must fix it properly one day but not worried about it - I can hear the roof locks go home when the roof has come all hte way down.

hahaha like it. That's a good technical fix Mike

You could do an even more technical repair and take the bulb out. I would consider that a more permanent fix.

Jaki,
I have posted this previously and its still working fine give it a go.
Open the roof slighty about 2 foot (its easier to reach the micro switchs)
put a bit of cardboard between the switch contacts. if this stops the bleeping do what i did next
unscrew the black part of the microswitch only slightly put a screw driver behind and lever (very gently not too much) towards the cream coloured plastic part that the metal strip touches and re tighten.
Then do the same to the cream part (2 screws on these) and lever towards the black part and re tighten.
Do this to both sides (I only had to do the front to cure my bleeping) and test.
Mine works how it should now (no bleeping when it's down corectly).
The idea is basically to get the 2 parts closer together.
Cheers
Steve
